This magnetic adapter lets you quickly attach and detach DermLite and Camera. One ring threads to the camera, the other to your DermLite II, III (the 4 does not need the an extra attachment). To capture clinical images, simply pull your DermLite from the camera to detach.
This adaptor only connects to DSLR cameras and interchangeable lens system cameras that are able to attach filters to the end of the lens. To determine the best size find the filter size indicated by the ⌀ symbol. You may need a stepping ring or two to connect.

No despite the product name listing "II/3/4," the page states the DermLite 4 does not need this extra attachment. It's intended for the DermLite II and DermLite III, which require the additional ring to connect to a camera.
It only connects to DSLR cameras and interchangeable lens system cameras that can attach filters to the end of the lens. Point-and-shoot cameras without filter threads aren't compatible with this adapter.
Check your lens for its filter size, indicated by the ⌀ symbol, and compare it to the 37mm thread on this adapter. If your lens has a different filter size, you may need one or more stepping rings to bridge the difference.
One ring threads onto the camera lens's filter thread, while the other attaches to your DermLite II or III. To capture clinical images, you simply pull the DermLite away from the camera to detach it.
